We believe that people with innovative ideas are not necessarily interested or skilled to deal with the realities of developing successful ventures and that people with a drive to fulfill managerial roles, such as the typical MBA, are often not well versed to truly understand and exploit the business potential of new technologies. This reality is one factor contributing to the so-called “knowledge paradox”: The apparent contradiction that the presence of unique technical and scientific know-how coincides with a lack of successful new ventures and novel products and services. We believe that we can bridge the gap between knowledge and venturing.
